Wu Man-lin

Zhongruan virtuoso of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Wu joined the HKCO in 2018. Born in Taiwan, she graduated from the Tainan National University of the Arts where she studied Chinese Music under the tutelage of Yu Hui-Lan. She later entered the Graduate Institute of Performing Arts of the National Taiwan Normal University in 2017 and was offered scholarships. During her studies, Wu took an active part in various competitions, and garnered brilliant results, including the first prize with Distinction Award in the All Taiwan Music Competition for Students, the Popularity Award in the NCO Instrumental Music Competition, and the first prize with Distinction Award of the Chinese Music Association of Taiwan.


In 2016, Wu was selected as one of the International Youth Ambassadors and went with the Taiwan delegation to New York, Vancouver and Seattle in the US, as well as to Chile. During those overseas tours, Wu was appointed Music Coordinator. She has also performed in stages in Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Czech Republic, Belgium, Singapore etc.


She was invited to record for such albums as Modern Chinese Music in TaiwanInchoation, Taiwan Images, The Legend of the South - Kaohsiung and Bearing Fruit, and they have all been well received.
