Green Hill-Anglo Chinese Arts Performance Troupe

Green Hill-Anglo Chinese Arts (GHACA) Performance Troupe was founded in 1988, it is a government-registered non-profit organisation.


To promote and popularise music education, "An Instrument and Art for everyone’s life", the troupe organises various musical instruments, dance classes and orchestra training for primary or secondary schools, and often holds free music demonstration performances in the school for instilling music knowledge to students.


The instructors of GHACA Performance Troupe are artists, musicians and elites from the art circles in Hong Kong. The troupe also supports and participates in the Hong Kong Music Grading Examination Committee (The International Diploma Exam & Assessment Association) of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, which was officially established in Hong Kong in January 1995, and the Chinese and Western Musical Instruments Grades 1-10 examinations held every year.


Since 2006, the group has co-organised the Hong Kong Chinese Arts Festival, International Music and Art Competition, etc. with the Hong Kong Chinese Culture Association. The Hong Kong Chinese Arts Festival is a large-scale cultural and artistic event integrating performances, competitions, exhibitions and elections.


In 2007, Dr. Wong Wai-tat, the head of Green Hill-Anglo Chinese Arts Performance Troupe, was elected as the World's Outstanding Chinese and was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science by Hamston University in the United States.
