Dr Serina Ha Miu-yin holds a PhD in Japanese Studies from the School of Modern Languages and Cultures at the University of Hong Kong, as well as an MA in Communication and an MSocSc in Media Management from Hong Kong Baptist University. She is a media expert, seasoned broadcaster, author, guest speaker and lecturer at numerous universities. Dr Ha was the inaugural producer of RTHK’s audio film and audio drama programme series and has won 20 international broadcasting awards. Through Dr Ha’s ground-breaking work on voice acting, her audio film program Audio Art (Salute to Bruce Lee – The Way of the Dragon) was recognized by ABU with the finalist of Audio Arts Innovative Programme Award. Sound of Nature won Shanghai Broadcasting Festival Creative Award and Beijing People’s Broadcasting ‘Win in Creativity’ Best Creative Programme / Asia Best Creative Award, while Audio Book won Beijing People's Broadcasting ‘Win by Creativity’ Chinese Broadcast Creative Award and New York Festival’s Best Alternative Format Award.
Dr Ha is a pressed flower instructor of the Japan Fushigina Pressed Flower Association and a Level 2 kimono instructor certified by the Japan Kimono Education Association. She is member of the Japan Sogetsu Foundation & HK Branch of Sogetsu Teachers Association, as well as a member of the Japan Urasenke Foundation Hong Kong and the Geological Society of America, and a consultant for arts and investment. Dr Ha’s pressed flower exhibits have won awards in Korea, Philadelphia, and Japan, culminating with winning the top prize in the category at the 191st Philadelphia Flower Show with Lunch in a Piazza – I Love Paris in 2020. Her books on environment education through botanic art, entitled Chances to Possibilities Volume I and II, are published in 2020 and 2021 in Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, French, and German.
