Songs from the Original Soundtrack Tunes of Early Cantonese Films in Hong Kong – A Study was published online between 2007 and 2008 by Hong Kong music critic, Wong Chi-wah, is a valuable work for those interested in songs sung in the Cantonese vernacular. It provides an insightful and highly informative study of the composers of Cantonese songs, the music styles, the music scores, as well as relevant literature. The work will be available on the HKCO web page to tie in with the Heart Notes Hong Kong concert series as well as activities under this theme.
