The Hong Kong Professional Zheng Ensemble

The Hong Kong Professional Zheng Ensemble (HKPZE) is an ensemble founded by four young zheng virtuosi in Hong Kong - Janet Chow Lai-kuen, Metric Mok Wai-leung, Iu Yan and Chin King - in 2006. The co-founders are all graduates of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

The group has given many concerts, symposia, master classes and talks since its founding, some in collaboration with other music-makers such as Pancake, Wang Zhongshan, Sun Wenyan, Xu Lingzi and Luo Jing. In 2014, it jointly held the First International Guzheng Symposium with the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

The group founded the Hong Kong Professional Zheng Junior ensemble in 2012 with the purpose of promoting interest in zheng music culture among the young as well as zheng aficionados in Hong Kong. The HKPZE established the Zheng Music Education Company and the Music Room by HKPZE in 2013, with the goal of offering professional, quality teaching services in music under their motto of "helping to create boundless musical spheres through innovative means".
