International Seven Star Mantis Style Lee Kam Wing Martial Art Association

Lee Kam-wing, President of the International Seven-Star Mantis Style Lee Kam Wing Martial Art Association, is a seventh-generation disciple of the style, trained directly under Master Chiu Chi-man of the sixth-generation. He is accredited as an International Master of the Tenth Level, and a Shaolin martial artist of the ninth level in China.


Lee was born in Hong Kong in 1947. In 1962, he started receiving boxing training under Master Chiu Chi-man, sixth-generation exponent of the ‘Seven-Star Mantis Style’. After ten years of training, in 1972, he was given the permission by his mentor to set up his own martial arts association and teach the Style. Soon there were chapters under his name all over the world, including France, the UK, the US, Germany, Italy, Hungary, Brazil, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Turkey, Japan and Australia. Lee was Osteopathy Adviser to the Royal Junior Police Officers Association Junior Police Officers Association and Chief Coach in the ‘Seven-Star Mantis Style’ Boxing Course of the Hong Kong Police Wushu Club in 1996. The following year, he was the Coordinator of the Rally in Celebration of the Return of Hong Kong to China and National Day, and Adviser to Dragon and Lion Dance of the Hong Kong Wushu Union. He was the coordinator for the switch-on ceremony for the East Asian Games and the National Day Wushu and Tai Chi Open Tournament in 2009. In 2010, a mass rally presented by the Sham Shui Po District Council, coordinated by Lee Kam-wing and organized for the first time in Sham Shui Po, achieved a Guinness World Record with 1,650 members of different martial art schools performing at the same time.
