Gao Yongyuan

Gao Yongyuan is a Bearer of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Shaanbei Narrative Singing of Yan’an City. A native of Yanchuan in Shaanxi Province, he is a member of the Song Art Association of Shaanxi. He has been performing Shaanbei narrative singing since he was 16, and was a winner of the first prize in a competition in Yan’an city, the second prize in a competition at provincial level, and the title “Peasant Artist” for having given over a thousand performances in one hundred counties in Shaanxi province.
