Tenor Freddie Tsang is a dedicated performer based in Hong Kong. He has had the honor of sharing his music with esteemed organizations, including the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra, Hong Kong Arts Festival, Musica Viva, The Learners Chorus, Hong Kong Oratorio Society, Bel Canto Singers, Ponte Orchestra, Gustav Mahler Orchestra, Hong Kong Youth Choir, Yip's children's choir, and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Tsang's repertoire encompasses a diverse range of operatic roles, such as the title role in Mozart's Idomeneo, Turiddu in Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana, Belfiore in Mozart's La finta Giardiniera, Kai in Pierangelo Valtinoni's La Regina delle Nevi, Sesto in Handel's Giulio Cesare, Monostatos in Mozart's The Magic Flute, Yan Hui in Gustav Ma Ka Lok's The Legend of Confucius, Luigi in My Beloved, and Danilo in The Merry Party by Bel Canto Singers.
Beyond his operatic endeavors, Tsang has also performed as a tenor soloist in notable works, including Mozart's Requiem, Puccini's Messa di Gloria, Handel's Messiah, Bruckner’s requiem in D minor, Beethoven's Symphony No. 9, Verdi's Messa da Requiem, as well as J.S. Bach's Magnificat in D major, B minor mass and Easter Oratorio. Tsang is also a chorister of Noēma, an elite chamber choir that is gaining recognition within Hong Kong's vibrant music scene.
Tsang is an alumnus of The Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, where he earned his Bachelor and Master of Music degrees under the guidance of Soprano Nancy Yuen and tenor David Quah. Throughout his academic journey, Tsang was honored with numerous esteemed scholarships in recognition of his exceptional talent.
