There
is more than stories, melodies and drama in Chinese music it also contains
zen conceits which can add colours and flavours to Life. In this concert
series, Tam Po-shek and Chan Ming-chi will tell stories of zen wisdom
and life through the compositions Transcendental Chanting from the Mount
of Enlightenment, The Tolling of Bells from the Monastery and The Drunkard.
In the environs of the modern theatre, the audience will be led to savour
the almost forgotten joy of zen in a musical context and appreciate the
quintessence of Chinese music that is often overlooked. ----------------------------------------- 23-24.5.2003 (Fri & Sat) 8:00 pm Hong Kong City Hall Theatre $120, 90 -----------------------------------------
