Koi Ming-fai & HKCO
The star from Cantonese Opera in concert |
 |
Koi Ming-fai, a star in Cantonese
Opera, has been thrice selected as one of the Ten Caring Stars of Hong
Kong in 1995, 1997 and 1998, and was presented with the title as The Superstar
of Caring by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals in 2001. She was also one
of the Ten Most Outstanding Young Persons of Hong Kong.
In this concert series, the
HKCO is delighted and honoured to accompany this leading figure in both
her chosen art form as well as in community work in singing for her fans
and for her ever-growing following.
In true operatic strain, Koi
Ming-fai will be presenting the high-flung emotions in plaintive melodies
that would touch your heart and put you in the historical or romantic
roles of kings, princes and heroes. The HKCO will also be performing some
Cantonese tunes and a new medley of Cantonese operatic arias.
To add to the excitement of
the evening, there will also be a mystery guest making a special appearance.
Get ready for the surprise!
# Although there will
be three concerts in this series, it is anticipated that a large proportion
of the tickets will be snapped up by Koi's fervent fans. Our word of advice,
therefore, for those who would like to hear the star sing, is still "Book
early!"
